The night is long,
EXHALE
My soul keeps watch Black Liturgies
If you’ve been walking with me for a while, you know I’ve long talked about the indigenous peoples and ancient calendars who foresaw this time as one of the renewal and regeneration of humanity, and that ageless spiritual teachings and leading-edge science have converged to show us that we each have limitless, creative potential.
Right now, we are in a volatile, evolutionary moment like no other, defined in all manner of diverse ways by the 8 billion of us present on the planet right now.
Personally it seems like a ‘Tower of Babel’ moment where diverging, paradoxical, fragmenting voices and perspectives are in motion about who and what we are, where we are, where we are going and why, with these voices and perspectives sometimes at odd with, and competing against, each other.
And this doesn’t even factor in the voices and perspectives of the Earth and the intelligences of all its species.
It is such a complex time, with many perhaps grappling with disparate questions such as ….
Am I on the so-called ‘right’ side of history, or the ‘wrong’ side? The ‘new timeline’ or an ‘old timeline’? About to enter a blissful ‘New Age’ or a dystopian ‘Dark Age’? Am I, or she or he, ‘awake’ or ‘asleep’? Is there a ‘polycrisis’ or is ‘all well’? Is everything ‘already written’, or are we writing it with each choice? Will change occur ‘in the blink of an eye’, or progressively and gradually over the years?
How do you know?
Even astrological viewpoints seemingly diverge: Western tropical astrology tells us that two days ago, Pluto finally left Capricorn and moved into Aquarius for the next 20 years, whilst in Eastern sidereal astrology, Pluto only just began its 20-year sojourn in Capricorn a few years ago….
All perspectives, of course, are determined by individual bias, attachments, beliefs, preferences, philosophies. They are all relative, subjective, temporal, aren’t they, in terms of how we view our circumstances, the evolutionary arc of history, and our moment within it. How we view ourselves and the future of humanity and the Earth. What worldview feels relevant. Whether we care about humanity and the Earth, or not.
Such ponderings invite deep, existential questions: Who am I? What does this all mean? Who are we really? What
will be my/our story? Where are we in the story? Is there a story, and what does it matter?
Imagine how different such answers are amongst the 8 billion of us …
From my perspective, and certainly now more than ever, I don’t believe it’s either this or that. I feel it’s all of it, all at once, and all possibilities inhabit the same space and can be held within us, and that the new arises from the yin-yang / push-pull / death - rebirth tension amongst the various factors.
For myself, if we open our Hearts wide to fully embrace and feel all that is taking place in the Oneness of life on Earth just as it is, as ourselves, from the lightest light to the darkest dark, from the enormous to the miniscule … it’s living from
that
… and from that standpoint of full, holistic embodiment as both spirit/transcendent and matter/immanent upon this Earth / Web of Life …
… my response to any story we may write comes down to what is valuable in terms of serving to create more beauty, dignity and freedom in reciprocity for the collective and myself as one with it; where do we want to go if we are fully here and hold this Earth and all as sacred; who do we need to become in the service thereof; and what do we need to heal and do in order to fully embody here, so as to create and live that more loving story within the ever-evolving Web of Life?
Humanity is now faced with a stark choice: Evolve or die. … If the structures of the human mind remain unchanged, we will always end up re-creating the same world, the same evils, the same dysfunction." ~ Eckhart Tolle, spiritual teacher & self-help author
For myself, conscious evolution comes down to my holding as true the sacredness and relevance of this Earth / Web of Life, and not a perfect one of ‘Love and Light’ that will suddenly be materializing out of thin air whilst this so-called ‘old Earth/timeline’ and all its inhabitants are abandoned and left to crash and burn. Yes, we hold it as a vision, but we work towards it to materialize it, as with all other outcomes.
Instead of holding aloof from travail to clutch and climb up a ladder to the
sacred, the movement is to open the arms and embrace it right here. ~ Joanna Macy, environmental activist, author, and scholar of Buddhism, general systems theory, and deep ecology
This perspective is a departure from the individualism and transcendent-focused perspective of the New Age spirituality and mainstream wellness communities … into the personal-as-collective and an integrated immanent/transcendant perspective combined (covered in Part One).
As I experience it, if your Heart doesn’t break with various of the things taking place, you may be disconnected from your humanity and thus limited in your power to serve.
Why I Wrote about Gaza
I wrote about it from that holistic perspective of dignifying this Earth / Web of Life and the species within that, including human beings.
We will not spiritually evolve as a species if we neglect the suffering and pain of the Earth and the collective. And we will also not evolve if we perpetuate the same oppressive cycles ~ Dr Rocio Rosales Meza, seer, psychologist, medicine woman
I wrote about Gaza as an homage to honour those who have perished, or that are perishing as I write, or are yet to perish in the devastatingly horrific, live-streamed ways we’ve seen throughout 400+ days. It was to honour the human beings, Earth, animals, infrastructure, churches, hospitals, schools, mosques, archives, international laws and human rights safeguards that have been destroyed as part of a campaign that almost immediately became genocidal … and that was applauded by certain of our fellow human beings.
Not in my name.
And I wrote it because if we are going to become a more consciously evolved species writing a brand new story, it’s important to understand the main header of the series,
“Who Bombs Hospitals and Inherits the Earth?”
As in, we can’t bomb, starve, torture, exploit and burn people alive and inherit a New Earth. Not if our paradigm rests upon an open Heart, Oneness, interbeing, interdependence and shared belonging within this Earth, and not unless our Hearts are shut down and we live in a bubble.
As in, what we will create comes out of facing the wounds and shadows that are present in the Web of Life, as they are within us, and that are also necessary components for stimulating the desire, vision and fuel of creation in the first place to evolve beyond being split, unconscious and destructive.
“It’s like growing lotus flowers. You cannot grow lotus flowers on marble. You have to grow them on the mud. Without mud you cannot have lotus flowers. Without suffering, you have no way to learn how to be understanding and compassionate." – Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnames monk, peace activist, author, poet and teacher
We must see clearly and be accountable for outcomes, otherwise we will simply be on repeat. Otherwise, we allow the destroyers and killers to simply come with us as fellow co-creators into the future.
When we do not do the required naming, truth, accountability-calling, healing and reconciliation processes, all repeats until, finally, years and decades later, crisis and polycrisis erupt. Just as we see present right now.
I worked my way through Parts 1 – 4 using Gaza as the lens, moral compass, litmus test and mirror to shed light on the blind-spots and aspects of ourselves, conditioning, beliefs and global systems that I believe are vital to be recognized and transformed. In so doing, we might be able to come together as a more consciously evolved, switched-on species, in right relationship with ourselves, one another and the Earth, aware of our interconnectedness with all Life, able to use power wisely, and to create and build from that interconnectedness and oneness.
I wrote it so that we know what must be excised so that we actually can ‘inherit the Earth’ and learn to be wise co-creators with it, its systems and species.
It was an impassioned call to review and re-humanize ourselves and our systems for the renewal and regeneration of humanity and the Earth, through what must not be, amongst the many things that must no longer be, and in this case: the red line, the crime of crimes, that is Genocide.
Parts 1 – 4 came from a position of caring about what may happen to us if we blindly continue giving the shadows and the crimes a free pass, rather than confronting, digesting and transforming them, internally and externally, and acting. I
don’t feel it’s useful to sugar-coat or slap a bandaid over the deep wounds in human consciousness, more visible at this time than ever before.
Summarizing what we’ve traveled through together in Parts 1 – 4 …
In Part One: Spiritual Warfare and the Soul of Humanity, we explored the concept of spiritual warfare as an ongoing battle for the soul of humanity, where political, economic, and ecological crises are symptomatic of deeper disconnects. It critiqued belief systems that give rise to operating as if separate from the Web of Life. Part One called for a remembrance and reawakening of our shared humanity and interbelonging within our Intelligent, Unified Field, saying there is nothing spiritual about Genocide. It asked readers to recognize the need for transformation of our most cherished belief systems as part of healing both the individual and the collective. It reminded us that we are affecting everything and everyone, and vice-versa. It called on us to learn to live in right relationship with the Earth and its species.
In Part Two: Gaza: An Awakening and Unflinching Litmus Test, the focus was on the ongoing crisis in Gaza as a stark reflection of global ideologies and a litmus test of humanity's moral compass. Part Two examined how the warcrimes in Gaza expose the hypocrisy of the world’s established safeguards and laws. It critiques the complicity of international powers in perpetuating violence, highlighting the urgent need for truth and the re-evaluation of allegiances. It emphasized that Gaza is not just a political issue, but a spiritual one, testing the collective soul. Based on our interconnection, interdependence and interbeing, the piece urged an awakening to the realities of this conflict as part of personal and collective healing and transformation.
In Part Three: Gaza, the Collective Shadow and Why Caring is Critical, the focus was on the psychological and spiritual dimensions of the Gaza conflict. It explored how Gaza embodies the "collective shadow" of humanity—the darker, often repressed aspects of our collective consciousness that we fail to confront. It argued that the violence, warcrimes, and human rights abuses in Gaza reflect the consequences of ignoring this shadow. Part Three stressed that true healing and transformation require facing uncomfortable truths about ourselves and the systems that perpetuate harm and with which we are affiliated. It called for a radical shift in how we view suffering, emphasizing that caring for others is a critical steps in healing not only individual wounds but societal ones as well. It urged readers to embrace empathy and collective responsibility to break the cycle of violence and harm.
In Part Four: Beyond Genocide into a New World, the focus was on the urgent need to transcend cycles of violence, ‘othering’, apathy and more to create a compassionate and just world. It explored how genocidal acts, both historical and ongoing, are not just isolated atrocities but reflect the spiritual and moral failures of humanity. Part Four urged readers to confront the darkness of these realities. It emphasized the need for a transformative vision that goes beyond merely stopping violence to actually fostering a world based on equity, healing, mutual respect, and knowledge of interconnectedness. It called for a shift in consciousness, where love, justice, and empathy are the driving forces behind rebuilding societies, and advocated for a future where humanity moves beyond its destructive tendencies toward collective liberation and peace.
And now here and based on all the above, I want to share …
Part Five: My Work Going Forward: Conscious Evolution in Revolutionary Times
The going forward harks back to a quote in Part One:
I think it reflects something really deep which is that there’s a kind of narrow interpretation of what is a spiritual path in that the spiritual work is meant to focus on our inner work and to me the hope for the world is that we do this inner work of waking up our hearts and caring more for the benefit of our shared belonging for the world that we’re part of and that without that piece, what is there to hope for in terms of any real evolution? ~ Tara Brach, psychologist, author
My work going forward is for those who also feel we are in the transition of our lives, and who also feel our co-responsibility, interdependence and inter-mutuality here on Earth.
It is for those who want to be available for the whole of reality and to move through exponential, radical evolution in mindfulness, awareness, joy and action.
It’s for those who see the value of looking into the dark, falling apart and being rebirthed and re-empowered.
It’s for those who empathically feel, or want to feel, their Oneness with the Earth, Cosmos, all human beings and species, and want to do no harm and live in right relationship.
It is anchored in a worldview of interconnectedness, interbeing and interdependence, and involves such topics as:
- Exploring how principles of personal conscious evolution, spiritual growth and practices can influence our own lives for the better, as well as the world around us
- Focusing on how we can foster a local/global environment rooted in consciousness, aiming toward simultaneous personal and collective upliftment and transformation
- Examining how personal spiritual practices like mindfulness, compassion, and non-judgment can lead to impacts in one’s own life, along with impactful social and political movements
- Discussing how split/ dualistic ideologies perpetuate separation and harm both personally and collectively, and how consciousness-based approaches encourage healing, unity and understanding
- Looking at current global issues from the lens of conscious evolution, discussing the spiritual implications in addressing polycrisis
Tools that I Bring to the Table
In the form of Private and Group Mentoring, Transformational Travel, Seminars, Blogs, Workshops and more, I share:
- Awareness re Big Picture dynamics, including geopolitics, Astrological analysis, ancient Calendars, Indigenous prophecy
- Vision-boarding for an ideal society, breakout groups to discuss conscious political action.
- Meditation, including Mindfulness meditation and techniques: for developing inner values, interconnectedness, healing, compassion
- Radical Forgiveness Practices
- Radical Compassion and Empathy Practices
- Reflection exercises on personal values and global understandings
- Heart Coherence and Somatic Practices
- Shadow work for naming repressed, negative, outdated patterns and beliefs, inclusive of unhelpful practices and beliefs from within the spiritual and wellness communities
- Decolonization Practices: the colonization of our minds, emotions, bodies and energy by corrupt authorities, ideologies and structures affects us all, and moves us into silence, bypassing, apathy
- Tapping into your anger, rage and grief: these are a privilege to feel and initiations via the loss or violation of something or someone held to be precious
- Practices to restore the Feminine/Immanent and Masculine/Transcendent in right relationship
- Community-building, social and grassroots political activism
Is there a quick, guaranteed “5-Step Plan”
In a word, no.
As a humanity we’ve never been here before in terms of our connectedness through the Unified Field and the internet, our knowledge that everything and everyone is impacting everything and everyone else, our global polycrisis and threshold-points, our advancing into AI and so much more.
The Series, employing Gaza as both homage and moral compass points to how we might recognize, dance with, metabolize, heal, transform and integrate for a different future, as summarized above. It points to what needs to change to halt Spiritual War for the Soul of Humanity, the Earth and all its inhabitants.
The Tools enable us to recognize, allow and transform the pain, dismay, anger and rage that this world evokes into falling in love with Life and wanting to honour, protect, fight for and celebrate it. They enable us to destroy old forms and beliefs and thus imagine and build a better world.
We become aware of and alter what must no longer stand: systems and empires based on all manner of separation-consciousness, dehumanization, exploitation, mass death.
Such an open, flowing, integral, fully here approach opens us into being active socially, collectively aware and engaged.
… Otherwise, we yearn for self-realization, freedom, sincerity, Life and Love while believing we can ignore the world, forgetting that our existence is within it.
… Otherwise, we are amputated and slowly die inside. We have no viable, visionary, realistic solutions to offer ourselves or the collective because we’re not really here.
As we work with the above, we break the trance within the existing framework, and we call back our siphoned Life-force from ideologies, beliefs and evil forces that render us stunted and complicit with a cruel, dehumanizing, destructive system. We work with a new paradigm where curiosity, spiritual awareness, healing and transformation drive positive global transformation.
We combine inner and outer work so as to become agents for change in this world in a new paradigm of shared humanity.
We become conscious stewards that are worthy to ‘inherit the Earth’ because we’ve transformed the conscious that bombs it, desecrates and ignores. We find we simply fellow co-creators. Not superior to the Earth. Not here for dominion over it. We’ve had enough of this mentality. But for true listening and beingness with it and the right to participate in its stewardship.
In Conclusion
For the work going forward, it is vital to stay centred, embodied, effective and human as we move through the greatest shifts we’ve ever experienced, and especially around 2028-2035 (from an astrological perspective).
A spotlight on Gaza shows us the cruelty and hypocrisies of our current systems, and that these times require vision,
transformationa and the ability to be stable and welcoming within instability and uncertainty. They require the capacity to let go and the resilience to discern, navigate and create well in the midst of jaw-dropping darkness and volatility, whilst decayed structures attack and are fought for due to attachment and ego-illness.
In amongst it all, and because of the full embrace into our very beings of all of it, we have the opportunity to recognize that life is precious, and to know that we are each valuable and live in an unfathomably interdependent, intelligent, beautiful, interconnected world that is worth protecting and fighting for. That we are its experiencers and fellow co-creators, that a human being is precious and valuable, along with all life forms. (We’ll need this as AI / transhumanistic agendas push to exteriorize the Soul as part of seeing humans as ‘lesser’ and obsolete.)
As we clear the decks, form new bonds with ourselves and others, we free ourselves into new possibilities and multidimensional being to not only imagine, create and inhabit a better world, we make a lasting shift in favour of a more consciously evolved humanity in right relationship and ecological balance, in both personal and collective expression.
Knowing ‘what to do’ naturally arises once deeper transformation takes place into deep empathy and compassion through an open Heart.
That is, Life must be able to touch you deep within. When Life makes you cry, scream, collapse and keep you awake at night for not just yourself, but for others, then you’ll find the path for your Love to express itself. Then ‘motivation’ won’t be an issue. Then you won’t want to hide or bypass. The Love will move you.
With the capacity to dive into the heart of the world to fully enter it and fully be with its beauty and suffering, we develop the resilience that comes from having our Hearts broken by humanity’s / one’s own capacity for evil and injustice. We digest and metabolize that brokenness, fear, grief, anger and more for new expanded expression of beingness, creativity and contribution. We rejoice in beauty.
We resacralize ‘ordinary life’ and find there’s no need to want to leave here to some other Earth: existence is all here in every moment, through every cry and every laugh. We are here in the world as it is, we belong to it all and we celebrate it all for the very short time each of us are miraculously here.
We sense how we can live and experience from the perspective of deep, awakened, inherent connectedness, right relationship, awareness and knowing, making decisions based on that, for our good and the good of the Collective with which we are one
None of us exists in a vacuum. Not even us in the hyper-individualistic West.
It’s always now and always a good time to begin, for yourself personally and for the collective to which you are indelibly connected.
May this be the last genocide in human history ~ Francesca Albanese, UN
Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories
Maybe one day we can say ‘never again’ and it might be true for us if we overcome our fears enough to be with our Hearts and let our Hearts animate us. May we indeed be part of the renewal and regeneration of humanity and the Earth.
